Marine City Area Fire Authority
Cottrellville Township is a proud partner of the Marine City Area Fire Authority that provides fire and rescue services to the residents in the township. The Marine City Area Fire Authority services 44 square miles of property and approximately 11,000 residents of Marine City, Cottrellville Township, East China Township and China Township. They respond to medical emergencies, fires, car accidents, hazardous incidents, rescues, water and ice rescues, stand by’s, and fire alarms. Saint Clair County Sheriff Department As always, if there is an immediate emergency, please dial 911. The Saint Clair County Sheriff Department provides road patrol enforcement, accident investigation and traffic control in the township. Michigan State Police If residents are concerned about a certain area of traffic incidents and poor traffic patterns in the township, you are encouraged to call the MSP and they will try to send a trooper out to observe. The Warning Information Notification System is notification system that will allow Public Authorities to notify you in the case of an emergency situation such as Tornado, Sever Weather, Evacuations or other emergency situations that effect life and safety.
In addition to Emergency Notices you can “opt-in” to receive information on non-emergency situations from a variety of entities. These entities include Law Enforcement, Fire Departments, Health Departments, Schools, and select private / non-profit entities with a need to quickly disseminate information to the public. It is recommended that you sign up for every location that is important to you. Examples of locations could be: Home, Work, Schools, etc.
